RISING STARS
Rising Stars is a Prince Rupert and District mentorship project that pairs students from the Northwest Community College with members from the local business community for a five month period.
The Rising Stars become honorary Chamber members for the duration of the program, attending monthly Membership Lunch Meetings with their mentors where they network with members of the business community. In addition, they attend workshops and several events specifically for Rising Stars and their mentors.
Rising Stars is an opportunity to promote business as a career option to entrepreneurs in the making and to nurture a mentorship relationship between students and business leaders. It is a program that offers options for our youth to work, contribute, and, most importantly, to live in their home town.
